Prof. Roberto Boada (UAB)<br>Assoc. Prof. Boada opened the session with an overview of secondment implementation, risk assessment, IPR issues, pending deliverables, and planning for the upcoming UNIVPM Workshop in May 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WP1 \u2013 Raw Materials &amp; Silicon Extraction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaker: Assoc. Prof.Roberto Boada (UAB)<br>WP1 highlighted progress on the collection, selection, and characterization of rice husk ash, along with optimization of silicon extraction. Updates included publications, bottlenecks identified, and upcoming secondments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WP2 \u2013 Functional Materials Development<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaker: Dr. \u00c1ngel Rabdel Ru\u00edz-Salvador (UPO)<br>The WP2 team presented advances in synthesizing functional materials (zeolites, MONs, MOFs) for water treatment and catalysis. The session covered results, secondments, risks, and future developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WP3 \u2013 Laboratory-Scale Validation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaker: Dr. Daniele Caterino (UNIVPM)<br>WP3 reported progress on validating VALZEO materials under laboratory conditions, including testing protocols, achieved milestones, and remaining challenges before moving to pilot-scale experimentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WP4 \u2013 Pilot-Scale &amp; Real-Environment Validation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaker: Dr.  Raquel Montes Mart\u00ednez (AERIS)<br>The WP4 update focused on scaling VALZEO materials to pilot installations and testing them under real-environment conditions.
