Explores Circular Innovation for Sustainable Water Solutions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of the VALZEO International Workshop \u2013 Ancona 2026, the VALZEO consortium successfully organized an engaging Science Caf\u00e9 at Universit\u00e0 Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM), Italy, bringing together researchers, students, and innovation stakeholders for an interactive discussion on sustainability, circular economy, and environmental technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moderated by Dr. Leonardo Piccinetti (SITES), the session focused on how innovation can transform waste into valuable solutions for clean water and environmental sustainability. The Science Caf\u00e9 created an open and dynamic environment where participants explored the role of advanced materials, circular economy strategies, and emerging technologies in addressing global environmental challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key contribution to the session was delivered by Massimiliano Sgroi, expert in environmental engineering and advanced materials. His work focuses on sustainable water treatment technologies, environmental remediation, wastewater treatment, pollution reduction, and resource recovery through interdisciplinary approaches combining chemistry, materials science, and engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussion encouraged active participation from students and early-career researchers interested in chemistry, environmental science, engineering, sustainability, and innovation. Several important themes were explored, including the reuse of waste materials in environmental technologies, the future challenges of clean water availability, and the role of young researchers in building a more circular and sustainable society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Science Caf\u00e9 represented an important dissemination and stakeholder engagement activity within VALZEO, reinforcing the project\u2019s commitment to connecting scientific research with society, education, and sustainable innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
