It covers May to October 2026, a busy period as the project enters its final months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In this issue:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ancona, May 2026.<\/strong> Universit\u00e0 Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM) hosted the VALZEO International Workshop, a Science Caf\u00e9 and the General Assembly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Secondments.<\/strong> Staff exchanges continued at UNIVPM in Italy and in Donegal, Ireland, where SITES hosted a week of knowledge exchange on the regional bioeconomy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pilot plant.<\/strong> Work on the biodiesel pilot plant at UNIVPM moved forward.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Policy briefs.<\/strong> We introduce three VALZEO policy briefs on rice husk ash, water treatment and biodiesel. They are being prepared for publication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Save the date.<\/strong> Our final workshop, &#8220;Innovative Materials &amp; Methods for Water Treatment&#8221;, takes place at Ecomondo 2026 in Rimini on Tuesday 3 November, 14:00\u201317:30, in Sala Orchidea, Pavilion D6.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcc4 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/valzeo.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/VALZEO_NL_7_1.pdf\">Read Newsletter No. 7 (PDF)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VALZEO is a Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges project. It turns agro-industrial waste, especially rice husk ash, into zeolite-based materials for environmental applications. The consortium brings together nine partners from Spain, Italy, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>VALZEO is funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe \u2013 Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Actions, Grant Agreement No 101086354.
