BIOECONOMY GIANTS launches Open Call 1 to support Europe’s primary producers

The VALZEO consortium is pleased to share a new funding opportunity for stakeholders active in the European bioeconomy. The BIOECONOMY GIANTS Open Call 1 is now open, offering travel vouchers to support the participation of primary producers in one of Europe’s leading networking and capacity-building events for the bioeconomy.

Through this first Open Call, 40 travel vouchers worth up to €500 each will be awarded to eligible participants, enabling them to attend the BIOECONOMY Bootcamp, the flagship matchmaking and training event organised within the “Pitch Perfect and Boost the European Bioeconomy” initiative. The Bootcamp is designed to strengthen collaboration between primary producers, industry, researchers, innovators, and other key actors working towards a more sustainable and circular European bioeconomy.

The initiative seeks to empower farmers, foresters, fishers, and other primary producers by providing access to high-level training, networking opportunities, and partnership-building activities that can lead to future innovation projects and business collaborations. Participants will benefit from expert-led sessions, practical knowledge exchange, and direct interaction with stakeholders from across Europe’s bio-based value chains.

At VALZEO, we strongly support initiatives that foster knowledge exchange, cross-sector collaboration, and sustainable innovation. Open calls such as this contribute to building stronger European innovation ecosystems by creating opportunities for new partnerships and accelerating the transition towards a resilient and circular bioeconomy.

📅 Application deadline: 31 July 2026 (17:00 GMT+1)
