The session, delivered by Leonardo Piccinetti (CEO, SITES and VALZEO partner), focused on:
“How to Become a Research Project Manager in the Circular Bioeconomy: Grant Writing, Leadership & Project Management.”

📌 Highlights included:

  • The role of Research Managers and Administrators (RMA) in EU-funded projects
  • Grant writing essentials, including the Excellence–Impact–Implementation (EII) framework
  • Building strong international partnerships and consortia
  • Leadership and project management for sustainability
  • Integrating communication, dissemination, and exploitation (CDE) into project success
  • Personal branding and visibility in international research networks

Leonardo also showcased the VALZEO project’s mission: transforming agro-industrial residues into zeolite-based composite materials for applications in environmental remediation and biofuels, while embedding social sustainability and regional empowerment at its core.

This Masterclass reflects VALZEO’s commitment to capacity building and to training the next generation of professionals who will lead the green and circular transition in Europe.
