RIMINI, ITALY – The VALZEO project, a Horizon Europe-funded initiative, is proud to announce its participation in ECOMONDO 2025, the leading international event for the green and circular economy, held from November 4-7 at the Rimini Expo Centre.
This participation marks a significant milestone for the project, serving as a final showcase for its successful outcomes in the valorisation of agro-industrial wastes.
ECOMONDO is the premier European hub for industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders dedicated to driving the ecological transition. The VALZEO project’s presence underscores its commitment to disseminating its innovative findings to a global audience.
Project Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Roberto Boada of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the project’s coordinating institution, will be attending the event on Wednesday, November 5th, and Thursday, November 6th. He will be available to meet with attendees, present the project’s key results, and discuss the new technologies developed.
About the VALZEO Project
Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme (Grant Agreement No. 101086354), VALZEO successfully developed novel processes to convert agro-industrial residues into advanced zeolite-based composite materials. These materials have demonstrated significant potential for high-value applications, including environmental remediation (such as water treatment) and the production of biofuels.
“Participating in ECOMONDO at the conclusion of our project is a fantastic opportunity,” said Assoc. Prof. Boada. “We are eager to share how VALZEO has turned challenging waste streams into valuable assets, contributing directly to the EU’s circular bioeconomy goals. We look forward to engaging with peers and industry leaders to discuss the impact and future application of our results.”
All ECOMONDO 2025 attendees interested in sustainable innovation, waste valorisation, and the circular economy are encouraged to connect with Roberto Boada during the event.
