VALZEO WP4 Secondment Strengthens Collaboration Between AERIS and UNIVPM

The VALZEO project continues to promote international collaboration and knowledge exchange through its secondment activities under Work Package 4 (WP4). Recently, Josep A. Torà Suárez from AERIS Tecnologies Ambientals completed a secondment period at Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM), contributing to ongoing technical developments related to sustainable biofuel production and environmental innovation.

During the secondment, several important technical activities were carried out, including the final adjustments and validation of the biodiesel pilot plant, initiation of quotation requests, purchase of equipment and materials, and preparation of construction specifications and technical details required to begin the next construction phase.

A major milestone achieved during the secondment was the near completion of the biodiesel reactor, representing an important step forward for VALZEO’s research and demonstration activities focused on circular economy solutions and sustainable valorisation of agro-industrial waste streams.

The secondment also provided an opportunity to strengthen scientific cooperation between AERIS and UNIVPM while supporting practical knowledge exchange within the VALZEO consortium. These collaborative activities contribute directly to the project’s objectives of developing innovative zeolite-based composite materials and sustainable environmental technologies for remediation and biofuel production.

VALZEO continues to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, mobility, and technical capacity building among project partners across Europe and beyond.
