VALZEO Project to Be Showcased at CEDIS3 International Partnerships Event in Türkiye
SITES to Present Innovations in Waste Valorisation, Zeolite-Based Materials, and Circular Economy Solutions

Ankara, Türkiye | May 25, 2025 — The VALZEO project, a Horizon Europe initiative focused on the valorisation of agro-industrial waste through the development of zeolite-based composite materials, will be featured at the CEDIS3 International Partnership Training & Matchmaking Event, taking place May 29–30, 2025, in Ankara.

Sustainable Innovation Technology Services (SITES), which plays a key role in the project and leads VALZEO’s publishing and communications group, will present the project during the event’s poster sessions and thematic matchmaking activities.

VALZEO tackles two of today’s most pressing global challenges: sustainable waste management and clean energy. By transforming agricultural and food industry by-products into high-value materials, the project offers a dual environmental and economic benefit. VALZEO’s core objectives include:

  • Developing zeolite-based composite materials derived from agro-industrial waste;
  • Applying these materials in environmental remediation, such as wastewater treatment and pollutant removal;
  • Investigating the use of recovered materials in biofuel production, supporting the transition to low-carbon energy;
  • Demonstrating scalable circular economy models that link agriculture, industry, and clean technology.

VALZEO supports the EU’s Circular Economy Action Plan, Zero Pollution ambition, and Green Deal objectives, while creating innovative pathways for regional Smart Specialisation in the fields of bio-based materials, clean energy, and environmental protection.

The project’s presence at CEDIS3 underlines its potential for cross-border collaboration, knowledge exchange, and co-development of regional initiatives between Türkiye, the EU, and beyond.
