VALZEO Presents Innovative MOF Composites for Water Remediation
RIMINI, ITALY – Building on its strong presence at ECOMONDO 2025, the VALZEO project also made a significant impact during the event’s technical poster sessions. The project’s latest research was featured in the high-profile session, “Alternative water sources for drinking water, agriculture and industry: desalination and water reuse.”
Assoc. Prof. Roberto Boada, the VALZEO Project Coordinator from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), was on-site to present the poster. The poster detailed VALZEO’s innovative work in developing and applying novel Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) composites for complex water remediation challenges.
The presentation highlighted the significant potential of these advanced materials to efficiently remove contaminants, showcasing VALZEO’s direct applications in creating sustainable solutions for water purity.
“While much of our work focuses on creating value from waste for biofuels, this poster session was a crucial opportunity to showcase the versatility of our materials,” said Assoc. Prof. Boada. “Using our MOF composites for water remediation addresses a critical environmental and societal need. The interest and feedback we received at ECOMONDO affirm that we are on the right path to making a tangible impact in this field.”
This participation successfully demonstrated VALZEO’s multi-faceted approach to the circular economy, contributing valuable solutions for both clean energy and clean water.
