The VALZEO consortium is pleased to announce the upcoming VALZEO International Workshop – Ancona 2026, to be held on 21–22 May 2026 at the Faculty of Engineering, Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM), Italy.

This two-day event will bring together researchers, experts, and project partners to explore innovative solutions in sustainable water treatment and circular bioeconomy, with a focus on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and the industrial application of advanced materials.

🔬 Workshop Highlights

The workshop will feature a series of technical presentations addressing:

  • Innovative materials for air quality and water treatment
  • Hybrid adsorbent systems and advanced filtration technologies
  • Life Cycle Assessment approaches for sustainable materials
  • Circular solutions for waste valorisation

A key session will include a Science Café titled “Can Waste Save Our Water?”, moderated by Dr. Leonardo Piccinetti (SITES), encouraging open dialogue on circular materials and clean technologies, with contributions from UNIVPM researchers including Prof. Massimiliano Sgroi and Dr. Daniele Caterino.

🤝 Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange

The second day will focus on the VALZEO General Assembly, covering progress across all Work Packages—from raw material processing to pilot-scale validation, dissemination, and project coordination.
