VALZEO unites water utilities, industry and research at Ecomondo 2026
RIMINI, 29 October 2026 – How can Europe remove PFAS, pharmaceuticals and other emerging contaminants from water? The EU-funded VALZEO project puts this question to utilities, companies and researchers at its final workshop.
“Emerging contaminants: from research to the treatment plant” is on Tuesday 3 November, 14:00–17:30, in Sala Orchidea, Hall D6. It comes as utilities prepare for the fourth treatment stage in the recast Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive (EU) 2024/3019.
Politecnico di Milano opens the programme. MM S.p.A., ACEA ATO 2, ALFA and Gruppo CAP share experience from their plants. SIAD, Carboplant, Erica, De Nora Water Technologies and BIOFORCETECH present solutions on the market. Università Politecnica delle Marche, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and AERIS show how research can reach industry. SITES closes with partnerships and funding for 2027.
Talks in Italian and English.
